We are Jacob and Jasmine Mayeda, the SoCal-based husband-and-wife-duo that make up JUICYPEAR.

Future. Disco. Pop.

Major music influences?

Emily King, Bruno Major, and Lianne La Havas. Recently, have come to love more pop influences like Dua Lipa, Justin Bieber, The Weeknd and Pharrell Williams.

How do you feel when you listen to your music?

We feel confident, stoked, and ready to dance with huge smiles on our faces.

What is this song about?

This song is about what many songs are about - love and relationships. It’s not always about the butterflies and the extravagance but it’s about being honest, real, and kind; trusting each other. Keeping your love on towards each other, not shutting down, especially when you don't feel like it. That kind of love conquers all things. And it is that love that keeps you feeling connected and safe to keep growing and building your lives together.

Your dream collaboration?
Our dream collaboration would be to write a theme song for a Taika Waititi film!
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

We enjoy the simple things in life. Walking our dog around the neighborhood. Eating really good desserts. Making popcorn and watching a good movie. Being with family. Traveling to new places. Jacob surfs with his buddies and plays a lot of pickleball. Jasmine hangs with her girlfriends and enjoys spending time at coffee shops.
