A beautifully balanced fusion of soul, indie pop and world music make up Emily Brimlow’s sound. I’ve been a fan of this 25-year old Canadian talent for a couple of years now, so it’s great to feature this release. This track is just a very positive song and it’s all about living her best life (in a van!) with her partner Nathan. What a dream!

Indie-pop singer-songwriter Emily Brimlow provides a whimsical, summery vibe on the beautifully settled track, Misfits. Currently traveling in a van with her life partner, the track fits in perfectly with this lifestyle as Emily sings “We can be gypsies under the stars, it doesn’t matter where we are”. The track, like Emily, is a free-spirited affair that can’t help but make you feel good, providing a spirited forward momentum that’s impossible not to fall in love with.
