This Weekend’s Tunes

“No Longer” by Merunisa x Zuka

“No Longer” by UK artists Merunisa x Zuka features a vibe that gets bigger and bigger with each beat. It starts off with an ominous vibe that is filled with slick and smooth vocals. These vocals are backed up by sweet harmonies that add a bright-sounding layer. The suspense keeps building up until the chorus. There, there is an explosion of powerful vocals, colorful harmonies, and slick melodies. Because of this, “No Longer” is something that no one has heard of before!

“Speechless” by Autumn Reverie

US rock band Autumn Reverie’s newest single “Speechless” is an explosion of melodic rock that will have you rockin’ on from the very first beat. The track is well-written and well-produced with the right energy between the vocals and the instrumentations. There are addictive melodies in the grungy guitar riffs but also the melodic vocal lines. There is even a lot of emotions spilling from the vocals which give off a gravel tone. “Speechless” is a high-energy rock tone that will get you bopping along in no time!

“Beam Me Up” by Don Pedigo & The Coyotes

“More than a message though, a lesson or a reminder; cherish and celebrate your loves often because someday someone won’t be here anymore. I truly wish our son could beam us up there, even for a minute..”

Don Pedigo & The Coyotes have released their own cover of the P!nk song “Beam Me Up”. I can admit that I never really heard of P!nk’s original version before, but I really love how Don Pedigo & The Coyotes made it their own. Inspired by the death of his son, Don Pedigo poured all those emotions of sadness and pain into creating this cover. You can hear in each note as emotions drip effortlessly. The band created a country alt-rock cover that is filled with so much talent in the vocals, the arrangement, and just how the band approached the song. It is definitely a must-listen!

“Forest” by Wildlife Freeway

Wildlife Freeway is back with their newest piano-folk tune “Forest”. It is a journey of acknowledging grief and allowing ourselves to mourn our lost loves. A part of us goes away forever when we lose a loved one. It will never be the same before. “Forest” encapsulates these emotions beautifully in the emotional vocals and also in the piano0based melody. You can hear such emotions as grief and sadness in both the lyrics and melodically. Wildlife Freeway did an amazing job conveying these feelings in “Forest”.

“Meridian” by CHAMEL3ON

Though just an instrumental track,”Meridian” oozes with talent as each instrument featured gets their own time to shine with their own musical uniqueness. The track also moves across the musical genre spectrum as showcases the band’s influences of hardcore, nu-metal, and grunge, with transcendent prog-rock. It is such a wonderful rock track that has a lot of talent. There is never a dull moment in “Meridian”!

“Harder to Breathe” by A Short Walk to Pluto

A Short Walk to Pluto’s newest single “Harder to Breathe” dedicated love story that features a delightful love story. The lyrics talk about how love is perfect symmetry, yet it requires both moving parts and each member in the relationship to step out of their relationship. That each part of the relationship has to work together to be equal. However, be careful of one’s winter as it might beautiful, but actually has a cold, unwelcoming touch.

“Harder to Breathe” is a gorgeous folk-rock tune. It has those bittersweet, honest lyrics that talk about a love story. It also has eternal tones from both the male and female vocals that just blend together so nicely. The instrumentation is a treat to listen to as it features acoustic and electric guitars, strings, drums, and bass. “Harder to Breathe” is so perfectly mixed together that makes it so memorable!

Ben Dalby’s “Two Bird” is a fun-loving tune with catchy melodies and unique instrumentation. This upbeat love song features a Rhodes piano rhythm completed with little chirps, tweets, and sound bites. It is a catchy song, especially the chorus, as there are some mesmerizing melodies and harmonious vocals. Yet, it is a song that you cannot fully predict as there are uniques twists and turns in the song that one might not expect. If you are looking for a great driving song, “Two Birds” is for you!

Catchy choruses catch the listeners’ attention with their haunting vibes. This song is featured mellow chillwave vibes with its electronic instrumentation. Yet, it has a soothing factor with the chilled melodies and the crystalline vocals. It is such a lovely listen!

“Say It” by CHILD

“Right now, it’s most important to discern & to have your own thoughts. It’s dramatic, yet true: free-will is under attack… the distinction of choosing; thinking; suggesting additional perspectives.”

American Indie Electronic artist CHILD has recently released the gripping tune “Say It”. It tackles a different perspective on contemporary issues happening in the US. You can hear the gravity of the issues in the gothic tones in the instrumentation. The industrial-style drums & bass add more depth to the darkness of the tune. It is the vocals that emit power from its rich, smooth tones. “Say It” is something different for its unique musicality and deep lyrics that should be listened to.
